My DIY IKEA-sized Changing Pad

Listen, IKEA. I’m already willing to trek through your store, nearly kill myself pulling things off the shelves in your storage section, and basically build all the furniture myself… can you just PLEASE do me a solid and start making a changing pad for your changing tables?! Please?!

Recently, it came to my attention that it was time to get Baby Girl a crib.

So I did what all Millennials do and went to — you guessed it — IKEA.

I’m Giving Up on Perfect.

Life is crying babies and mysterious stains and 6 a.m. wake-up calls. It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely an adventure.

So, I have a problem.

This problem is called “I like for everything to be perfect, and when things aren’t perfect, it drives me crazy.”

This problem makes me frustrated.

This problem makes me feel weak and powerless.

This problem makes me straight-up ANGRY sometimes.

A Month of Mommyhood

A lot can happen in a month! Especially in the life of a baby…

Jolie’s one-month birthday was a week ago, and I still can’t BELIEVE I’ve been a mommy for a whole month.

Where does the time go?!

When J was born, she weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces. She was 19.5 inches long.

Now she’s 9 pounds, 7 ounces and 20.75 inches long.

(Why don’t they say ___ inches tall? I guess because babies can’t stand up?)
